• Do I need an appointment to drop off my dress?
    • We are always accepting wedding dresses during our regular business hours, but please use our consignment request form to send us details. Wedding dress styles and trends are always changing so we will confirm with you whether or not we think yours will sell in our boutique. We are particular about our collection so are currently only taking dresses within three years old and newer, but as some styles are timeless, we would still love to see pictures if they are slightly older than three years.
  • Can I ship my dress to you?
    • Canada Post has a few different sizes for flat-rate boxes that can be purchased at any of their outlets, wherever you live. They are $20-$30, depending on the size, and they arrive to us within 1-2 business days. Just print off a contract, sign it, and put it in the box with your dress.
  • Do you take accessories as well?
    • We love all the extras, and will happily take your veil, hairpieces, sashes, jewelry, and garters.
  • Does my dress need to be dry cleaned before bringing it in?
    • Yes, it does need to be professionally cleaned to be ready for sale. We offer this service at a discounted price, so if you haven’t had the time to have it cleaned, we can do it for you.
  • What information do I need to provide?
    • It would be helpful to know the designer name, size, original purchase price, and any alterations that have been done.
  • What if my dress needs repairs?
    • Lily Kennedy is a custom wedding dress designer and seamstress, so any minor repairs can be easily fixed to bring your dress back to brand new condition before being hung for sale.
  • What percentage do you take from the sale of my dress?
    • We will always strive to attain the highest sale amount for your dress, and our split will be 60/40. 60% for the seller, and 40% for our shop.
  • How long will you keep my dress and accessories?
    • We will try our best to sell your items in our showroom for one year from the date of drop off. After one year, we will contact you to either keep your items and request a price drop, otherwise to arrange a pick up. If items are requested to be picked up before the one year contract term, an administration fee of $120 will be applied.
  • How will I know if my dress has sold?
    • Because of the high volume of bridal appts and drop offs, we will be in touch with you within 30 days of the sale of your items. Please keep your contact information updated with us, so we can send your money via e transfer or cheque once we sell your items.
